Vibex Snails
Tropical vibex snails come from marine environments with both mud and sand sea floors. They are not eaters of algae, instead they are pure scavengers. This makes them efficient at cleaning up food before it can cause an ammonia problem.
A spiraled green shell keeps the vibex snail safe when it retreats away. As they only grow to half an inch in length they do not disturb coral or rocks as they move around.

In an aquarium the vibex snail will spend much of it's time at the bottom of the tank and rarely try to navigate the glass.
