Red Cherry Shrimp
The brilliant color of the red cherry shrimp is a welcome addition to a community aquarium. These small vibrant crustaceans will be safe and happy when kept with smaller non aggressive fish. Such peaceful tank mates will not see the cherry shrimp as their next meal.
Feeding Cherry Shrimp
The red cherry shrimp is technically an omnivore though they prefer algae. As part of their feeding habits they will scurry over aquarium plants and gravel keeping them free of such algae. If only a handful of sherry shrimp are kept they can usually meet their own nutrition requirements by what they find in the fish tank. These shrimp are not big eaters so only add food for them if kept in large numbers. They can be fed with fish food and blanched vegetables or just an algae wafer.
Cherry Shrimp For Sale
People that buy cherry shrimp online find the internet to be a valuable resource. Lots of cherry shrimp are often sold as groups of individuals. Five or ten shrimp will be suitable for a smaller fish tank while for a large planted aquarium you could start off by buying fifty.
